Lynn Vissers
Lynn began painting while living in Montreal, Quebec. Her work as a Spiritual Animator with at-risk youth and children from Indigenous communities has had a great influence on her artwork. For Lynn, art is an expression of the soul, revealing both joys and struggles.
Though her early art primarily consisted of landscapes inspired by Northern Ontario scenes, reminiscent of the Group of Seven, her repertoire has shifted to include a vast array of abstract art. Today, Lynn uses a knife, almost exclusively, to create abstract pieces of both oil and acrylic on canvas. Her work includes small and large abstract pieces, Canadian landscapes, and abstract portraiture—utilizing bold colours.
